I have been at Plummers for 9 months.

What is your Staff Pick for the month?

The Mandalay Sectional.

Why?

What is hot in the desert besides the temperature is lighter and brighter finishes. From light colored woods to bright leathers and fabrics. The trend is also transcending on a national scale. Lighter brighter spaces have been on the rise for several years. The lighter look for the desert makes the space look cooler to the minds eye as well as makes the home fresh looking, especially with the desert landscaping.

What would you recommend customers do when shopping for a sectional?

There are a few key things to consider when choosing a sectional. First would obviously be fit/scale and the decor. But mostly I would suggest lifestyle. How are you going to be using the sectional? Is this going to be used in a high traffic space with kids There is also the choice between leather and fabric, which can take a while. You need to select the right application for the space and use. Either one will be comfortable and durable. There is lot to think about when purchasing upholstery. Take your time as this is a big investment and you will have this in your home for a longer period of time than most other items you purchase. It is also a personal item. This is where you raise your family and entertain your friends. So take the time and enjoy the process of selecting your new sectional.

What makes Plummers unique?

Our new Rancho Mirage store is very different from other furniture stores in the desert. It has a very contemporary, airy fresh feel. The lines are clean and paint colors are lively and inspire our customers to ask for the paint colors on the walls to use them into their own homes. The showroom is here to inspire and create the feeling of home. The design team is eager to help in creating a personal space unique as each of our customers. It has been a great first three months and we look forward to building our relationship with the desert communities.
