Computer Support Specialist
Founded in 1963, Scandinavian Designs has been a leader in providing customers with contemporary furniture and exceptional service for nearly 50 years. We are currently seeking a Computer Support Specialist to join our team. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a variety of technical and clerical areas. The successful candidate must be detail oriented with good communication skills and show initiative, flexibility, be precise and have strong follow through.
This is a position requiring an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support for all PC users and maintain hardware and software
- Provide technical support for remote systems/hardware in the field
- Provide technical support for HQ staff and management
- Run quarterly PC updates
- Track and log all hardware for repair and /or replacement
- Enter inventory adjustment for distribution centers and damage for stores
- Track vendor check completions
- Run and archive annual and monthly reports for audit purposes
- Run inventory and vendor purges at HQ
- Land special orders at HQ
- Upload the daily accounting ARP files to the bank
- Gather email addresses from store systems and upload to advertising
- Answer end user questions to resolve software and hardware issues
- Train users on new hardware and software
- Maintain software and hardware license and maintenance files
- Shipping and receiving of software and computer equipment
- Relate well to all personnel
Requirements:
- 2-4 years related experience
- PC software (i.e. – Word, Excel, etc.)
- Retail/Customer Service
- Computer servers/peripherals and maintenance – will train for computer duties
- Computer help desk experience a plus
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Additional college or technical school course work a plus
- Experience in PC/computer software use can substitute for formal training
