Sales Associate
Scandinavian Designs in San Mateo, CA is seeking a FT Sales Associate with a design background for its busy stores. We sell home, office and children's furniture - assembled and unassembled - and some accessories. Our Sales Associates are responsible for helping customers with their decision making through the entire transaction and any follow-up. Requirements include: strong customer service and communications skills, interest and knowledge in color and design, basic PC skills, organized and detail oriented, the ability to work well with customers and fellow employees and flexibility for the needs of the store.
The schedule will include weekends. We start at an hourly rate then transition to commission. We offer a benefits pkg. and a 401(k) plan. EOE M/F
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- Professional customer service skills
- Knowledge and interest in color and design
- Product knowledge
- Flexible and cooperative
- Organizational skills
- Basic PC
- Strong oral and written comm. skills
- Follows policy and procedures
- Will be assigned an area of the store to maintain
