Assistant Warehouse Manager
Scandinavian Designs, a premier furniture and home décor retailer, is looking for a full-time Assistant Warehouse Manager in our San Mateo, CA location. Our associates are passionate about delivering quality products and are committed to providing exceptional customer service.
The Store Assistant Warehouse Manager must be able to fill in for the Store Warehouse Manager when he/she is absent or occupied with other duties. This position requires flexibility, providing the Company standard of customer service, warehousing skills and the ability to fill in on various duties such as assemblies and resolving customer problems about returns/refunds. This position must understand and communicate Company policy and procedure, follow safety standards and clearly communicate with the staff. This position reports to the Store Warehouse Manager and the Store Manager. All our positions are expected to uphold our commitment to value, quality and design.
H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years experience. Experience supervising or leading others in work assignments preferred. Excellent customer service and team communication skills. Demonstrate attention to detail and reliability. Able to read and understand work orders, shipping and receiving paperwork. Able to obtain and maintain fork lift training and certification. Able to successfully complete our pre-employment physical and screening necessary to obtain this role. Safely lifting a minimum of 50lbs. Pushing, pulling, walking, standing in warehouse and showroom. Temperature vary in warehouse. The work schedule can include evenings, weekends, holidays and some overtime.
