Administrative Assistant, Distribution Center
This position performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of one of our Distribution Centers. This position provides pleasant and professional service as they handle telephone and fax merchandise reservations from all regional stores and maintains the reservation records from all other sources. All of our positions are required to uphold our principles of Value, Quality and Design.
Our Administrative Assistant will receive incoming calls, respond to inquiries and direct calls as needed. They will also work with our associates over the phone to accurately reserve merchandise for stores. in addition they will prepare and maintain reservation records including record stock reservations, container memo reservations and non-memo reservations as well as maintain merchandise movement records, i.e. logbooks, reservations, picklists, special orders, Harbor Transport schedules. this position must schedule delivery appointments with vendors, maintain supplies and send handouts, brochure promotional materials to stores, send inventory promotional materials to store and perform other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in retail, design or related field or combination of education and equivalent experience. 3+ years’ office/administrative experience, working in inventory or warehousing preferred. Sound math and PC skills, able to perform data entry and look up information and report. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and complete multiple tasks with accuracy.
